I love this proverb, I have it posted over my desk.
The sailboat pic was taken one sunday during the summer
when my husband and I took a walk along the Hudson River,
with our dog Rocky.

I didn't stick my claws out! How could you think that of me?

Thomas is our 13 year old cat. My son brought him home from a job he had in high school. When he found him he was just a skinny little cat skeleton, so scared, so hungry, it just broke your heart to see him. Well now he is king of this castle and we just love him. He loves to sit on your lap and could do that all day long. He also loves to chase a ball and a mouse on a string. You wouldn't know that he is as old as he is.

Our animals are usually rescue animals, we love be able to give stable homes to those animal that need one.

Moonrise over Lake Champlain - so pretty!

The weather this past weekend was perfect. We were able to get out and enjoy it with family and friends. A haunted trail on saturday and Lake George on sunday - monday. We haven't been up to Lake George in a few years, we used to take our boys there almost every year. This lake is one of the prettiest ones around, the weather was perfect and so warm that some people were actually in the water swimming! Very unusual for October.

Rocky the Wonder Dog (Always wondering what to eat!)

Just look at this gorgeous boy,

he is my buddy and my boss! Honestly he tells time, if I lose track of lunch or dinner

he will always remind me with a bark. And those eyes just screaming out treat, treat, treat......

puleeezee??!! I'm a good boy! Rocky has been with us for about a year and a half. He was a rescue dog

that my husband found on Petfinder.com. Since then he has settled in with us nicely and we enjoy him tremendously.

The monarchs are migrating, I have been noticing their graceful flight for a few weeks now. The Butterfly Show at the Cornell Street Gallery is also a fundraiser for a non profit group called, "Forests for Monarchs" a forest restoration project in Mexico. Part of the admission price and part of the sales will go to this group.
