Getting Show Ready and Banana Bread

Arts Mid-Hudson has a spring pop-up shop April into May and I have been so busy
getting my inventory ready for this lovely venue.
I have two spin racks that will be filled with the 3x3 art bevels,
magnet sets and note cards.

My taping and soldering skills are getting better....I'm not ripping and re-taping quite as much!!

Thank you dear Etsy and Amazon customers for all your orders this month :)

We absolutely love, love, love our days with this doctor/train engineer in training!!

If you are in the mood to do some vegan baking, hop on Instagram and
find @nora_cooks_vegan for the most wonderful recipes!!

Art Prints and Springtime

This snowy cold winter is loathe to leave us here in the northeast. We awake to snow or frost on many days that should be warming the soil.
I haven't given up on spring, it's on the way, it has just been slowly awakening.
This little man had a wonderful time searching for eggs this Easter. With the
spring comes his birthday, three already!
Many train rides to NYC for not so great reasons....but the marsh views are beginning to
perk up.
Most days I have been in production mode, there are quite a few steps to producing these art blocks. It's important to have the wood cut cleanly and straight and my husband does a wonderful job of this with his big table saw.
Sanding the edges and then covering with vintage paper is accomplished with the help of a very sweet dear friend.
I print on a Epson Artisan printer on a lovely satiny finished paper, then mount it on the wood block.
This batch of 5x5 Art Prints on Wood are heading to
Arts Mid-Hudson's Dutchess Handmade Pop-up Shop
Starting April 27th until May 19th.
They are located at 696 Dutchess Turnpike, Suite E
Poughkeepsie, NY 12603

Hope to see you there!

Happy New Year!

It was a super busy end of 2016 for me thankfully!
I had shows and stores and orders coming in to make 2016
my best year so far! It was lovely meeting so many
wonderful people both in person at shows and on-line.

This week I have started sprucing up my Etsy Shop and getting new ideas
organized. Show schedules need to be decided and new art begun.

February is quickly approaching and I have spruced up my photos for
a few Valentine's Day themed items.

We still have this little one spending two days a week with us and we
love every single second of it!

My first show of 2017 will be at Dutch's Spirits in Pine Plains, NY
http://www.dutchsspirits.com/
It's a huge barn built on top of a prohibition moonshine bunker
that was operated by Dutch Schultz. Lots of very interesting
history here and on February 11th there will be a pop-up show
featuring the Mid-Hudson Etsy Makers and a few Hudson
Valley food producers.
If you are anywhere near, stop by and say hello.

New Etsy Photos

This month has been devoted to cleaning up my studio after the craziness of the last quarter of 2014.
I still have to finish off the books and get all the info to my lovely accountant!

I have been selling my 5x5 art prints mounted on wood at the fairs last year, but the listing are new to my Etsy Store. I also want to revamp all my Etsy photography.
My husband hung this shelf for me to use as a prop and I love it!

I do love how the distressed white shelf works for displaying my art.

Hopefully, here in the northeast we will have some more sunny days so that I can continue with more items!
There is more snow predicted for this evening.......
