I Love Estate Sales!

I am in the process now of redoing my dining room since the art studio and office are moved. So the dining room will be relocated to that old studio/office area. It is a larger room and brighter with windows all around.
So last week I went to an estate sale and came home with this sweet little sewing table for $10 and an old sugar bowl for $1. My idea is to paint it and use it to hold a few small serving spoons and the silver chest.

The Studio Is Finished!!

It took me such a long time to finish this studio move, but now that I am all settled in down here I just love my new space.

Art Studio is almost finished!

We are almost finished with my new studio space. It's not taking long to fill it up! It is so nice to have everything all together in the same spot. I have been weeding out things and consolidating, just getting so organized!

Studio Move

I am still busy with the big move from one part of my house to another. It seems to take us forever to do anything around here, but I finally have my computer/office space working and my drawing table up and I am able to sit at it. So today I am settling in to work and trying not to get too distracted with things that are going on in the neighborhood. In my other room it was the birds and little critters that would distract me, now its the people on the street! My kitty Thomas loves the new office window, it's sunny and there is a lot going on outside.

Working Around the House

We have been busy these past few weeks patching and painting our living room and dining room. Our son moved into a place of his own and so I will be moving my studio downstairs. I will be able to stretch out and make messes and leave things about to stimulate and remind me to work on them. Right now I am so cramped in my room that is also my office for my husbands business. I will keep posting pictures so that I can keep a record of this big move!

Vintage Paper Rosette Ornaments

It's been a very busy time around here, I will be doing a harvest festival next weekend and then a few other fairs coming up. My very best friend, Franny, has been coming to help me two days a week and what a god send that has been, (plus we get to catch-up on things)! She has been wearing her little fingers to the bone, folding and cutting and sticking and tying, the rosette ornaments.
It's giving me more time to make up the silly little dolls that I love to do, Franny I can't thank you enough!! Here are a few pics of my studio in all it's messy glory!
The Harvest Festival is in Marlboro, NY if you are out and about on October 3rd you should stop by. It is also the opening of the Walkway across the Hudson, the longest pedestrian walkway in the world and it is just down the road. You can't beat the scenery in the Hudson River Valley anywhere this time of year!
