Waterlogged again!!

Something pretty to look at, not my dank basement!

My studio and office are on the lower level of our home, one half is underground and the other half is above. So, that is where my work area is and it is finished off and has nice windows. Well thanks to Irene it got flooded last week and it took me a week to dry everything out. Here I am again, vaccuuming water and mopping floors boy am I getting a good workout! I am grateful that we are able to handle it and are not completely submerged. Sending prayers up to Vestal/Binghamton, NY.

New Painting

I have just listed a new painting on etsy. This is one of a series of bird painting/collages that I will be listing over the next few days.

Trip to Washington DC and the Butterfly Garden

It was a very hot time to be in DC but we made the best of it! On Tuesdays at the Museum of Natural History the Butterfly Garden is free. They love visitors and will hitch a ride with you through the garden. I am going to do an exhibit in the fall entitled 'Butterflies' and this gave me lots of inspiration!

Two new tea themed prints are now for sale on ETSY. Just click over and take a closer look. I have been busy working on bird themed items and have done some paper clay birds that I just love!

Tom's One Day Without Shoes

Tom's shoes is having a special fundraiser this April 8th. It's a day for us to go without shoes, to feel what it is like for so many children on this planet of ours who have no shoes.

ML Gifts in Nyack, NY is taking this fundraiser a step further and they have asked artists to customize a pair of shoes that they will auction off sometime that evening.
